When is the last time you arrived to a new hotel that you have never seen pictures of before?
You probably don’t remember, and its ok.
Most people look up and research the place they are going to stay in, so when planning your marketing and budget it’s important to remember that photos play a large role in the impression your hotel makes on your potential guests.
Here are my 5 guidelines for capturing the best frame of the swimming pool:
- Choosing the right angle, capturing the appealing beauty of the water inviting you in.
- Selecting the right hour of the day, experimenting different hours during the day to know when the sun is at the best angle.
- Checking is there light in the swimming pools area? Is a night photoshoot needed as well?
- Sketching a small sketch of the composition, making sure there are no trash bins around.
- Organizing the outdoor furniture.
Many times I have stayed the night in the hotels just to wake up at dawn to shoot the swimming pool as the sun rises above it. These photos have to be high quality so that when potential guests see them, they feel like they’re being transported to the swimming pool itself, imagining themselves sitting by the water enjoying the sun and drinking something refreshing. Professional photoshoot is a worth investment for your property.
